The City of Sloan will have a regular Council meeting Thursday night, August 19th. It is still an open meeting (per Iowa Code) but we urge anyone who would be planning on attending, with questions, to please send (via facebook) or call us with your questions and or concerns prior to Thursday night. That way, the Council can answer those without you having to come to the meeting if you don't want to. That decision, to come to the meeting or not, is your decision of course. We want to keep our citizens safe and healthy!!

Brush pile is now open. The hours and days are as follows: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:00am to 7:00pm weather permitting. The gate will be unlocked for your convenience. We will try using the honor system as far as payment goes. It is still $1.00 per load and you can drop your money off at City Hall if open. Otherwise, put it in an envelope and label it brush pile and drop in the night drop next to front door of City Hall. Please, no garbage, trash, wood furniture or anything else that needs to go to the county dump. We will take grass, brush and tree limbs. If we start getting too many items that should go to the county dump, we may have to close the brush pile. Don't ruin this for the citizens who comply with the rules!
